Goochland Chamber of Commerce – Goochland Day

Ahh Goochland! After asking my wife in 2019 where she wanted to live, her first and only answer was: “All of my best childhood memories are in Goochland.” We now call Goochland our home. It’s also where we do most of our work. I was apprehensive at first about moving to the country just to live “in town” but this has been the best move we have ever made.

Many of you will know my wife better than you will know me, as she is the Pretty face behind the Goochland Restaurant. If you know me, it’s likely because you are one of the regulars at the big table. I specialize in automotive brands, products, and services in the automotive aftermarket industry. This takes me out of the area to do much of my work. I do, however, make many keystrokes and clicks from my home office right here in Goochland.

One of the first big events we attended after moving here was Goochland Day. My wife had shared many memories about Goochland Day when she was a little girl. The parade passes right in front of our home, and the following festival is walking distance away. Everyone had a ton of fun, and all of the organizers and volunteers we met were wonderful.

Our family has a strong working relationship with the Goochland Chamber of Commerce, so when we heard the Chamber was going to be involved in the 2026 Goochland Day festivities, we knew it was time to help with a robust website that met the needs of this event.
